any experience with Lenovo Q110 or Q700 "net top" hardware
 

Folks,
"Netbooks" are all the rage. Lenovo has the Q100 and Q700 boxes that they refer to as "net tops" -- a desktop deployment in a very small foot print. Does anyone have any experience with these boxes and any linux distro?

As you read the market materials, these are presented as media centers, complete with "hook up to your HDTV for movies". I'm curious if anyone has tried to put a linux distro on this hardware with any success.

Its just basically netbook hardware (Intel Atom) with (nvidia) ION graphics usually, linux will run fine on this setup.

XBMC is nice on these 'nettops' I hear.

Boxee is this same hardware and runs linux on the backend.

What is a boxee? I've never heard of that.
Yes, I know that I can google that name, but I wanted real information.

I was way off about the boxee box, its Arm Cortex powered with new Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset. Its not out yet so you can disregard this anyway, there is a beta for the boxee media center software though.

It seems to be a targeted "media center" box -- especially given the "connect your HDTV" approach to a monitor. Is there enough computer here for a light duty workstation or a small server? I know that disk space is limited as-is.

I haven't found any pix of the connector panel to know what is possible. I suspect that only monitor, wire-net, and USB accompany (sic) various audio outputs.
