ok i have a messed up server we pieced back together that was giving us hard times. we took one of the raided drives out hooked up the megaRAID series 428 card back up. cut it on. it allowed me to log in this time. but there is this horrible annoying beeping sound that pieces bone and flesh. i hate it so much. how can i get it to shut up. am looking now for megaRAID card sites that might tell me. help if anyone has an idea for what i can do.


****UPDATE*******

i'm noticing during the reboots...it's stops beeping for a few seconds while it's scanning the device...the scsi card. then it starts beeping again. i can also unplug the card...which of course hangs up the machine....but atlest it stops the beeping. and i can't boot without the card card plugged in. don't know if any of that will help. anyway...please help if you can. thnx

In similar situations in the past I have cut the wire to the speaker.
