Analog TV reception distorted and choppy | ATI TV Wonder 600
I have a seemingly simple problem. Analog TV reception with TVtime is horrible quality. A VCR is outputting NTSC ch.3 to an ATI TV Wonder 600. USB 2.0 is enabled in my laptops BIOS and I tried different ports, and digital TV works perfectly in Kaffeine, so it's not a bandwidth issue. The ATI TV stick is not getting too hot. CPU, GPU, and RAM usage are fine.
Here's a video demonstration

What could be the issue?

With Analog, anything could be the problem. In the last milenium, spark plug caps for some motor bikes were unsupressed, and you would see & hear one passing by on the road outside, notice when they changed gear, etc.
In the sample, the sound was poor, but the video seemed OK. Never expect hi-fi analog tv anyhow. I's check the sampling rate, or maqybe try resampling at a different frequency.l That IS crazy, but it can absolutely reform the sound.

What do you mean resampling? The only sampling I could find in TVtime is scan lines, which don't affect the quality issues.
When played on my Dynex TV set, the video isn't stuttering and the audio sounds fine.

What is the actual physical channel of this source? Is the antenna in both working and not working the same?

The VCR is outputting RF channel 3 through a coax cable to either the Dynex TV or the ATI tuner, depending on which one is plugged in at the moment.

Resampling is audio resampling. Sampling rates were originally set for the ISA bus so they are slow.To get sound out of a hdmi port once I had to resample the 44Khz sampled (Terrible) sound @48khz. It should have wrecked it, I wouold think. But it actually fixed it.
