amd64 hardware issues with motherboard
hello,
I have PCchips M861G Socket-754 mainboard (and Sempron 2500+).
Chipset is VIA K8M800 Northbridge and VT8237 Southbridge.
Rhine II ethernet and on-board SerialATA functions just doesn't work..
I've tested it on kernel 2.6.14-gentoo-r2, and former on 2.6.12 and 2.6.7 using SLAX. Problem is the same- after trying to identify SATA HDD PC locks up. Last words are that it's 133MB/sec ATA drive.. While just with normal ATA-II drive, ethernet don't work- eth0 drops TX packets. I suppose integrated Unichrome graphics adapter will won't work as well thus I just must have SATA and eth working for now.
I've tried to use different drivers, SATA-lib one and IDE-sata driver- the first locks up whole PC, the second just don't recognizes hardware.
Of course WinXP drivers wich came with hardware are working perfectly.
any suggestions ??

Hi Mamnasrane,
I just caught in the same problems. Did you find any way to make the board working?
Thanks a lot,
Clemente
