Hi,

I'm seeing to buy new hardware soon but... before doing this I would like to make sure my future machine would be fully compatible with my Mandrake 10 distro. Besides, I want to buy a configuration on wich I would be able to run the new AMD FX 51 or 53 (better, faster, same price). I believe I'll have to install the Mandrake for AMD64 distro. And now I need to know several things like what if I installed a simple distro on that system, will it run too ? What motherboard should I buy (there are severals for the AMD FX system)? What should I pay attention to when buying the system.

Does anyone have a clue to help me out of this ? Every comment is welcome.
