AMD bug fixed in new Kernels?????

I'v installed last summer Slackware 10 (kernel 2.4.20) and then iI've discovered the notorius AMD Bug about AMD Athlon processors and AGP (X-windows lockup and KDE freezing from time to time).

Unfortunately the addition of the option "mem=nopentium" in lilo didn't solve this serious problem.

Does anyone know if the problem has been fixed in 2.6 kernels or in the latest 2.4.x kernel (2.4.28)????

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
