I just received a Product (RED) iPod shuffle for my birthday, and I use Amarok for music. In the past I used GTKPod to manage my iPod, but then after a Physics final I dropped the iPod and it died So now I am using Amarok and with the iPod shuffle, it will randomly not work. A sequence of Orange and Green lights blink indication a problem. The music is still in tact when I mount the iPod, but the device does not think it is there. Plugging it into a Windows machine, iTunes doesn't even think it's there. GTKPod works fine so far (knock on wood). I've had music on the iPod for longer then one hour with it still working

So my real question is, does anyone use a second generation iPod shuffle (about the size of a matchbook) with Amarok? If so, was there anything special you did? Or have you experienced any trouble?

I've never cared to use Amarok, but my girlfriend uses a first gen Shuffle (the one that looks like a stick of gum) and it works perfectly fine with GtkPod.
