Alsa + RedHat 8 + Audigy 2

Hi,

I've been using the emu10k1 driver (http://sourceforge.net/projects/emu10k1) with my Soundblaster Audigy 2 card for some time now. I built it from CVS, and I believe the Audigy 2 support is present since january.
I'd like to start using Alsa though, but since the Alsa snd-emu10k1 driver doesn't support the Audigy 2 yet, will it be possible to run Alsa with the emu10k1 driver I mentioned at the beginning of this thread ?
My guess is that it probably won't work, what is your opinion on this matter ?

No, the modules for each are specific to the sound system.

Thanks for your reply. I'll just have to wait for the Alsa Project to have Audigy 2 support.
