almost got XBox controller on FC1
 

I downloaded the source files from http://www.xbox-scene.net/articles/controller-linux.php and was able to compile the driver after editing the Makefile ...... the module will load and unload like any other module, but it wont assign itself to the xbox device for some reason .... is there anyway to force the device to use the xpad module?

If there is a better way to get the xbox controller to work under 2.4, i would be interested .... ( i cant use 2.6 b/c the ata_piix module causes kernel panics).

the changes I made to the Makefile

--march is now i686,
the includes point at /usr/src/linux-2.4.22-1.2174.nptl/include and /usr/src/linux-2.4.22-1.2174.nptl/include/linux/modversions.h
