Alladin eToken not working
Hello,
I have an Alladin eToken Pro security token and I have 2 problems with it: 1. how do I manage it to work on Ubuntu ?... I've seen it on Windows, it works with a nice GUI for managing keys and certificates. How do I do the same thing on Ubuntu ? When I plug it in I only see the kernel recognizing it as an USB Device and the pscd daemon is recognizing it as a generic card... but I don't have a gui, I can't work on my token, please help, I don't have any software for it... I only got it naked. 2. I am developing a CA system, and I want to develop a way to interphase PHP or Java, in order to make the website write the new keys directly on the Token... how could I implement a system that does the operations directly into a Security Token ?... Please help with these 2 problems. |
Aladdin has their own software though I don't know what it entails, search for "eToken_PKI_Client_for_Linux_v3_65.rar". Debian using pscd, opensc, openct, and etoken-pro-support supports the Aladdin eToken PRO 32/64k. I don't know about Ubuntu. Make sure before you install the software you check the maintainers websites for any security updates. It would be appreciated if you post back if and how you got the token to work correctly.

No, it doesn't work.. I think it lacks some drivers... the reader cannot detect my card.
And also, I don't want command line tool... I want a GUI like on Windows to manage the certificates and the keys... I must deploy this to my clients... and I don't expect them to start typing command lines... |
