All USB devices stopped working at the same time


All my USB devices stopped working at the same time this evening. I turned each off then back on again. I took them off the hub and connected them directly. None of that helped. I unloaded all their modules then reloaded them, which did. I found hundreds of

Off the top of my head, this sounds like a hardware problem with your USB buss. How old is the machine you are using?

It's 12 years old. It has 2 USB controllers - both failed.
