Alright guys, I just modified that image and I'm about to copy it over to my USB drive and reboot. I swear, if I can't flash this time, then I officially give up.
Almost forgot about my thread...... I just gave up and rummaged through my pile o' junk, found an old hard drive, and tossed it in to install windows onto. I guess this will be my universal 2.5 inch "flashing" drive now
Well the flash was fine, rebooted, and started to mess with advanced video settings. I changed the primary video device to "PEX" or something of that nature, and BAM..... Each time I tried to boot my system, it would turn on, beep at me, and turn off. Lesson learned
Note that this is a brand new system, only a few weeks old, and I am already on my second motherboard
Hmmmmm...I would guess that PEX is something like 'PciE eXternal' (i.e. the nvidia chip) but that is just a guess.
Still, congrats, thats a new one. The only other time I recall somebody doing much damamge with BIOS setings is by disabling the thermal shutdown, then overclocking the poor CPU to within in inch of its life. I'd consider that to be more of a user/overclocking error than a BIOS settings problem though.
