Advent 7204 with wireless MS-6877/Billiton and FC7

Hi there,

I picked up a Advent 7204 laptop today. It has an integrated wireless adapter which, according to the documentation, is a MS-6877/Billiton one.

It wasn't detected by FC7 during install and I can't seem to find any information about this combination through Google.

Has anyone tried to get this configuration to work before? If so, what driver should I try to use?

Thanks in advance, Mike

Problem solved. I downloaded the daily CVS snapshot of the rt2570 drivers from this site: http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/wiki/index.php/Downloads. I followed the instructions on how to compile and install it and after a reboot (not sure if that's really needed) it worked just fine.

Hopefully someone else will have use for this in future.
