adsl problem


Recently upgraded to an AMD Athlon 64
and Mandriva 2006LE for the 64bit processor.
Now getting DSL to work is frustrating and
when it does work it is sloooowwww. What use
to take a second to load now takes over 30.
Yes, I timed it.
Had none of these problems with Mandriva 2005LE
for a 32bit AMD Athlon.
While booting, when the boot process get to
loading eth0, it takes over 4 minutes before
continuing.
I don't know if this helps but below is 'dmesg'

Where do I start looking to solve this?
