Adsl Modems

Is there a site which states which adsl modems are compatible with certain distro's.

Internal ADSL modems yeah? I've never come accross a specific site. I've got an internal Connexant PCI ADSL modem working, but unless you have plenty of time on your hands I would advise you to get an external ADSL<->Ethernet router.

cheers

This is probably a pretty important prerequisite! Sorry if my post sounded negative, but it took me a few evenings of work to get my system behaving properly. The internal ADSL modem makes things easier if you are running external services as you don't have to configure the linux box and the router, but apart from this situation I'd always recommend an external ADSL router.

I would just like to put in a plug for Pipex. I use their £19-95 plus vat a month ADSL wires-only product. They have been rock-solid performance-wise for the last year.
