Adsl Hardware Recommendations

our exchange is being upgraded to ADSL next month, and I wonder if anyone can suggest a suitable modem? For information, my ISP is (UK), and I'm using RH9. Looking throught the posts here it looks like the Speedtouch 330 offered by Virgin is a pain with Linux, so I'm looking for something a bit (alright, a lot!) easier for the same money (50).

I've looked at a couple of ADSL routers - although Linux isn't mentioned in the specs, am I right in thinking they should be reasonably easy to set up? I have a PCC810LMR based system with the onboard NIC available.

Thanks for any help.

If you've already got a nic, get a router/modem all-in-one. How about this 4-port version from -
Yep, all for less than 40 - not bad. I have one - conexant chipset, and very straightforward to set up. Dabs do an almost identical one for a little more, but the e-buyer one looks nicer :) .
If you ever have another pc, you can just network them together, too - very nice.

Many thanks carlywarly - at that price, I think I'll go for one of those! Being able to attach another PC is a nice little bonus as well.:D
