Adjusting Video Gamma w/ voodoo 3000

Hey everyone. i was wondering if anyone could help me out with my gamma issues in gnome 2.6. sometimes when i go to install a new theme or just viewing something in general, the gamma is to low to make out what is actually there. i have upped it once before, and i think it delt with one of the X11 config files? Well, bottom line is i forgot.

I've got a voodoo 3 3000 PCI running on Fedora Core 2 with everything updated.

Thanks.
