additional IDE controler

HI alls

I got a P200MMX computer and I'm running debian on it. kernel 2.4.18

I would like to add an additionnal IDE controller card in order to connect a large harddrive ( 120 Gb )

May I take any controller card ? ( based for example on sillicon image chipset ) or it's better to choose a highpoint based card ?

Can sombody explain me , step by step, how to configure this.

Thanks a lot.
