additional HBA card
Hi All,
We have been trying to install a new HBA card (Qlogic) in the Linux Server ( RedHat Linux AS
2.1- Kernel 2.4.9-e.34summit).
We already have existing 2 HBA cards installed/configured in the system . This new card is of
same make. So drivers/compatibility should not be a problem. Still the OS could not
detect/install this new third HBA card on its own. which I feel it should.
Now my questions to you are ,
1. What do we have to do for OS to detect/configure this third HBA card ?
2. Whether the kernel 2.4.9-e.34summit is not supporting 3 HBA cards at the same time ??
3. Shall I use modprobe , if yes how ?
HBA card is not faulty , as it is well detected in the lates kernel of RedHat 2.4.9-e.65summit.
But somehow we have to get it installed in the kernel 2.4.9-e.34summit.
Please help.
