Adding a new Western Digital 160gig harddrive.

I want to add my 160gig harddrive. I am dual booting xp and slackware (2.65). In xp it is formatted and setup just the way I want it. It has two partitions, a 140gig NTFS and 20gig FAT32. All I need to do is have it appear on my slackware setup. For some reason it doesn't appear.

Dr. Google has already been consulted.

Where did you put the drive on. Is it on Secondary Slave? Is it on Secondary Master? Is it on a secodary controller like a Promise, Silicon Image, Highpoint, VIA, etc?

All I see is hdc that has two partitions including the extended partition that acts like a container but the model is 80 GB. Are sure its 160 GB because Linux will not lie about the model number and capacity.

No the 80gig is my boot harddrive. It slave. The controller is VIA. (Is there a way to check.)

Check that the power and data cables are firmly seated, and that the jumper setting on the 160G drive is correct.

Also, please post the contents of your fstab file and the results of running fdisk (as root)
