Adding a device

Hi there,
I ve been using RH9 for a while, but I m still a bit of a newbie...

I bought a PCI MegaRaid controller for IDE drives.
I need this because SCSI drive are bloody expensive and all I need is a Raid 1 on two 160 Gb standard disks (data redundancy & capacity, not speed).

Now, the controller is properly setup, Raid works fine.
Bios sees the device as a PCI Mass Storage Controller or something similar, Red Hat9 itself sees it as a PCI device, so I take it its fine.

However I have no idea of how I should add it so that it appears as a device.
No sign of it in /dev/, (should be /dev/megaraid0) and I m not sure how to get it to appear there.

Any ideas?
Thanks a mil
Azh
