adaptec aic-7950 controller, and Distros?

Hello everyone!

I have a server I just got, and Im having trouble loading my usual linux distro on it. It appears that it doesnt want to load the modules for my adaptec aic-7950 scsi host controller. I usually use Suse, but I checked the hardware support page and it only works on suse 7.1! So far I have tried to use FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD,Connectiva,Vector,Redhat,Gentoo, and pretty much every other linux distro I could find ISO's for. I have read on the forums here that slackware has an adaptec module that you could load from floppies. Does anyone know of any other Distro that has support for aic-7XXX controllers? Has anyone even got one of these to work in linux? I got pretty close with suse 7.1, but it has a kernel panic on the first boot after install, and it says that there is no file system. I dont know what to do! I also have a small problem, I actually dont have a system with a floppy drive in it! I just never bothered to buy one while I was building them! Anyone with any idea, or anything to say would be great!
