Acpi

I can use the sleep states in my acpi system by echoing to /proc/acpi
and i can similarly use the processor features
now i was wondering whether i can use the power buttons in the keyboard to do some acpi functions
i tried that but couldn't
i installed the ospm_button module but there was no documentation anywhere
could anyone help?
