Accessing Android SDCard on CentOS 6.5

Hello,

I already spent hours trying to find a way to connect my SonyXperia ion LTE to my CentOS 6.5 for accessing the phone storage at /sdcard. Even though many tutorials available for ubuntu / mint etc, i did not find anything for CentOS.

Please Help me with this.

THank you.

Is the Gnome desktop and x11 installed on this OS

as in is this a SERVER install?
or a Desktop install ?

if a desktop with Gnome2 then if you plug in the mini usb
in the Nautilus left window under "places"
will be the phone , as a storage device .

i hate how google has given up on usb in favor of mtp.

you may have better experience connecting via sshdroid/airdroid/vncdroid/...

I use Airdroid to access files on my Android devices. Works on any PC, any OS, as long as there is a browser available. Run Airdroid on the Android device, and it will give you a URL which you put into your browser. You then have control of the entire Android device. You do need wifi, though.
