Angry Aargggh, joystick and SB Live 5.1

This is driving me crazy god damn...

I've read all other topics about this problem, and done what they say, but i cant get my joystick to work.

I've tried modprobe emu10k1-gp, gameport etc etc.. and still not working.
BTW, do i need to reboot linux to activate these "modprobings", or do i need to add those "modprobings" to some file, maybe rc.modules file?
I've done that also, even i'm not sure if it's done correctly.

I've tried to install those joystick drivers made by that Czeck-guy.

My joystick is some cheapmodel, so i'm not sure about it's model,
there only read's "Joystick with turbo".
Joystick is connected to Sb live's gameport.

Can someone help me to get this thing to work step by step?

damn linux

I run Mdk 9.1, so I'm assuming that 9.0 wouldn't be too different in this case.

I added the following lines to /etc/modules and my gamepad works:

gameport
joydev
emu10k1-gp
analog

and when I wanted to try my M$ Sidewinder I replaced "analog" with "sidewinder"

Everything worked fine at that point.
