Hello,

I am currently trying to install Gentoo on an Amd64. I have the following thread going in the gentoo forums that describe's my problem.

What I would like to find out here is if anybody has used the prapriatary drivers from the asus website or elsewhere to install Suse9.2 as I may end up having to use Suse rather than gentoo. If you know of a setup how-to or something I have not found through google please tell me

I have previously setup a raid in this fassion with gentoo and know the pro's and con's and would very much like to set it up again as I was happy with the performance in the past, even though it's fakeraid.


I forgot to add that what happens with the Suse9.2 CD is the sil3114 drives are detected but not as a raid array, thus I need to know how to load the drivers upon install.
