952c Black and White Setting in Ubuntu

I want to print only in black and white with my HP Deskjet 952C, but I get this error when setting it to Black and white: Unrecoverable error: rangecheck in .putdeviceprops

printing troubleshooter log is as follows.

http://paste.org/index.php?id=4158

Color cartridge is empty, and the printer won't function without the color cartridge in (even in windows.) Windows can get it to have the black and white setting fine.

But Ubuntu has that error, and if I print Normal Color, it will have parts of the page missing at times.
