9 needle printer

Hello everibody,

i have a problem with my only printer, a very old Mannesmann Tally 81 matrix printer ( 9 needle ) - parallel , compatible with Epson fx 85 and Ibm proprinter.

How can i set it up? I am quite sure it can work.

Thanx in advance.

Linuxprinting.org

It should work just like any other parrallel printer. I'm a big fan of cups+foomatic, but most others just stick with good old lpd.

Luck,

I have the printer working, now ( from some months ) the problems are:

[ i have it working via lprng and magicfilter ]

The papersize is contained in /etc/papersize, the paper i use is 30.48x21 cm.
How can i set this size? [ the most similar, if i'm not in error, is archA, that
is 30.48x moreless 23 ]

The resolution is fixed to 120x72, it's possible to change it ( ex. 120x144 )?

With open office, there isn't a driver ( it's separated ) in my installation.
Is there an avaible one?

Thanx in advance.
