8600GTS not working :( SuSE 10.3

Okay. So. I'll give you as much information as I have.

I'm trying to install drivers for my grahpics card. I have two Nvidia 8600GTS

Installed "NVIDIA-linux-x86-106.14.09.pkg1.run" using

sh NVIDIA-linux-x86-106.14.09.pkg1.run -q

then i started sax with

sax2 -r -m 0=nvidia

fail.

it simply won't start.

Help?

Welcome to LQ. Two suggestions: first, make sure you have the kernel source installed (you can do this with YaST). Second, add nVidia to your repository list

More info: http://www.suse.de/~sndirsch/nvidia-...ler-HOWTO.html
Quote:
Update your Kernel via YOU (YaST Online Update). Use

YaST -> Software -> Software Repositories -> Add

Protocol: HTTP
Server Name: : download.nvidia.com
Directory on Server: /opensuse/10.3

to add the NVIDIA http server as additional installation source.
Now use

YaST -> Software -> Software Management

to install the NVIDIA driver. Select the following packages:

x11-video-nvidiaG01

Okay, that driver is added and installed, resolution is improved, but when i try to turn on multiple monitors, and test it, it says

Sax library: Success
x configuration: no information

It actually says that whenever i try to change anything in the "graphics card and monitor" screen
