I'm a truly a new to Linux. My system is recognizing a sound card, but can't find drivers? Help needed and much appreciated. Thanks

the first thing to try is running alsaconf as root.

then run alsamixer to make sure nothing is muted

finally make sure your apps are set to use the alsa device, perferably not oss
