3d doesn't work - sunna 2007

Hi, i am new, i am from Italy.
i installed Mandriva Sunna 2007 on my laptop ( vaio u101 ), and all works except for the 3d desktop effects.
it says that my system doesn't support the 3d effects but i have a mobility radeon m6 ly and i think it is supported. when i select from the driver list of mcc RADEON (FGLRX) and i test it, it appears this message:

(EE) Unable to open /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.a
(EE) Failed to load module "/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.a"
(open failed, 2)

does exist someone who can tell me if this mobility radeon m6 ly is supported and how to solve the problem??

thank you!!!!

To enable 3D, you probably need to install the proprietry ATI drivers found here.

Not having an ATI card of any description to guide you, All I can suggest is that you read all the documentation and do a search on the subject right here. You're not the first to have trouble installing ATI drivers
