3D acceleration on Debian- Knoppix 4.02 with Compaq Armada M300

Hi All,

I have installed Knoppix 4.02( KDE 3.3.2) in a Compaq Armada M300, PIII 600, 192MB with a Mach64 Rage 3D( 4 MB) graphic card. Everything is working well but the 3D acceleration. I know that my graphic card is not supported be recent ATI drivers and all the information that I find is too confusing or maybe I´m not so skilled to undertnad it.
Could somebody help me with a step by step how to configure the 3D acceleration?
I´m pasting the XF86Config-4 bellow.
Thanks,

Julian

Check out the Gatos drivers at sourceforge.net.

http://gatos.sourceforge.net/supported_cards.php

I just looked at the supported cards. I think this project might be what you need.

It worked!! Thank you!
It was nothing to install or compile, just untar.
The instructions at GATOS' site are not clear enough, however I managed it well.
I tested it with Powermnaga. Unfortunatelly the 4 MB of my graphic card are not enough for Tuxracer..
Its a pity that these drivers are not available from apt-get.
Cheers,

Julian
