Question 3C905 NIC limit in Fedora

I am using Fedora and recently added four 3C905 NICs to the one that was already in my server. Kudzu appeared to successfully identify and set up all of the cards during boot, but after logging in, I discovered that eth2 was given the name dev50122 (or something like that) and was not considered to be an ethernet card. I've tried swapping out the card with another one and got the same result (only with a different 5-digit number). All 5 NICs have IRQs and base addresses assigned. Does anyone have an idea what's going on here?
