256Mo to 768Mo RDRAM Do I need to recompile my system?

Hey, I just install 500Mo RDRAM in my Dell Dimension 8200 running SuSE 8.2 kernel 2.4.20-100
BIOS detects it and now what am I supposed to do to ensure that the kernel has fully recognized this new RAM?
