2.6.2 kernel upgrade and lost swap space???

Hi all,

Just spent the past two days tearing my hair out in frustration trying to upgrade my kernel to at least 2.6.2...

I guess i did learn a lot about the process so far (and yet am still an idiot with it...).

I have a problem. I had recompiled my kernel (2.6.2) and finally gotten the darn thing running (more or less), when i noticed that the swap was not getting mounted during bootup...

i dont have the machine in front of me at the moment, but i was wondering if this was something normal? is there a simple thing i am not finding to re-enable the partition I have already set aside as swap?

i'll post dmesg as soon as i get the machine near me.

you might check your /etc/fstab file to see if it mentions the proper partition

got this fixed. turns out i turned off swap space support in the kernel for some reason (i suspect gremlins in my computer room at night).
turned swap space on, fixed nasty FAILED messages in boot logs...
