[SuSE 9.0] [nforce1] a7n266-vm mobo works?

Anyone know?

Does the standard SuSE 9.0 distro work, out of the box, with an ASUS A7N266-VM nforce1 mobo? (The Live-Eval 9.0 does not. Get black screen when it starts run-level 5.) Or is lots of fussing and tweaking going to be required?
