[Slackware] USB-device

I'm trying to connect my USB device to my linux pc.
I've compiled every part of USB to make it work.
My kernel does recognise my usb device
Code:
 lsusb
Bus 004 Device 002: ID 1241:1166 Belkin
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 046d:c505 Logitech, Inc. Cordless Mouse+Keyboard Receiver
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 07ab:fcf6 Freecom Technologies
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
First i have to manually mount my /proc/bus/usb. It is in /etc/fstab but it doesn't mount at boot.

Second when i try to do the following:

Code:
lsusb
..
{snap}

Bus 001 Device 003: ID 07ab:fcf6 Freecom Technologies
If i look in dmesg i see the following:

Code:
usb 1-4: lsusb timed out on ep0in len=0/255
It correctly see the usb-stick but at this time my konsole freezes.
I even can't kill the process and in /var/log/messages i don't see strange things.

You should post this question in the Slackware forum. All my USB devices work automagically on Slack 11 with the 2.6.17.13 kernel. I didn't have to recompile anything and I didn't even have to add a udev rule. They just work.

If you don't have other customisations perhaps you should just go back to a vanilla kernel from the Slackware extras disk and give it another go.
