Right thanks for that....on my test on distro MX...I did not need to reboot or logout for PA to be killed.
Maybe your distro is different...so I may need to change my instructions in first post.
clearly....your home config is not being read at time of htop output....thanks.
Can you now do me a favour....do not delete those 2 home configs...do a full reboot
at boot up....no attempt to run the HDA pin stuff please....and attempt to kill PA as a local user by
then open htop and search for pulseaudio.
No need for image link this time ilker4fun.....just report if PA is still running or not found (shows up in F3 search as red text)
2) Can you name your distro....its version number....and if it comes with different desktops what you downloaded.
I may have to dl your product to see for myself....if I can kill PA with my method etc
assuming its a non-commercial site for dl....you can post your dl link to it too if you like
Because PA is not being killed....for you.....I am still inclined to think PA may be interfering.
I have no problem modifying my first post....as you are the only person I can verify the instructions with.
so you are important and hope can stay the distance.
################
today I started with a fresh /etc/pulse and no home configs
my commands from first post were as expected
I started PA as expected with
Code:
pulseaudio -vvv
I: [pulseaudio] main.c: Daemon startup successful.
PS I can no longer edit my first post....if we need to...we can get a mod to change it
and add credits to you for your efforts too.
