[Fedora 10]After update to kernel 159, sound's gone
I've moved to Fed 10 from openSUSE 11.1 KDE (which bugs me so much).
After installing, all the thing worked fine. I could get the login sound (Fedora 10 's login sound is the best among all OSs I think :) ). Then I installed nvidia driver and updated the whole system. Now I'm running on kernel 159 and no sound available :|. I had half of a day to get my sound back. After following many guides I could google, now maybe I've removed the soundcard driver :(, because with Code:
aplay -l Code:
aplay: device_list:217: no soundcards found... Thank you. |
Oh, never mind. I've asked some guys on fedora IRC channel and they said it's a bug. The best I could do is downgrade the kernel and keep an eye on bug fix process (I don't remember, Bugpad or Launchpad they said) . Unfortunately, I've installed nvidia driver for the newer kernel, so I ended up with a mess :(. But now, at least I have installed the video driver for the older one. And everything works fine. Well, until next problems ...
