Hi guys

I have bought a USB DVD-RW drive its a teac DV-W24ES laptop drive mounted in a IBM case.

I can read CDs and DVDs from it but im having problems trying to write to it.

Here is the link that shows the drive (eBay)
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=6757441069

here is an output of dmesg
Code:

anyone have any ideas as to why k3b doesn't detect it?

it looks like linux knows that the drive is a dvd writer, maybe i have to mount it somewhere such as /media/dvdrecorder????

You don't have to mount blank disks to burn them.
