Question 'My Computer' doesn't rcognise new serial ATA HDD

I have just upgraded and installed a new serial ATA hard drive to run along side existing IDE HDD. The computer knows its there and appears in device manager etc, but doesn't appear in 'My Compuetr@ or Explorer. What haven't I done

Aren't device manager/My Computer/Explorer windows things? This is a linux forum. In order to have serial ata working, you'll need to upgrade your kernel to the unstable, development kernel 2.6.0-test9

have you checked for motherboard driver updates?
My m/b needed to update both bios & drivers to accept an ATA HD. Maybe it works for you as well
