This is a kind of personal question, people who prefer RedHat will "vote" for RedHat others maybe for something other. Best thing you can do is to compare the two yourself.

I've never heard of Treadmark either, given the choices I'd go with RedHat I think.

If Treadmark is Linux, then installing either would be fine. However, it appears that no-one so far has heard of it yet, and I certainly can't find any reference for it from google.com/linux, so I would advise that you go for RedHat.

Oh in that case, it's the long heated debate, and shouldn't be gone over again. It's really user preference, and has NO factual arguments for either side.
You might wanna install em both, see which one you prefer, and then go with it. Try them one at a time though, rather than at the same time.
Cool

Gotta admit though Treadmark does sound like a good name for a distro. The logo could be the Sole of a shoe (subtle jab at Gnome.)

I would be very interested to take a peek at Treadmark... I've tried quite a few distros out there, and given the opportunity I'd take a pop at this too. If anyone does find it on the net, could you post a link? Cheers.

He meant Mandrake not Treadmark. Treadmark does sound like a cool name for a distro though or maybe Skidmark.

hahha, when you are drunk to the point where the letters in a word start jumping around and change places, you need to becareful and wait untill the effect has passed so that you can coherently post a thread, heheeh,
between RH and Mandrake, I would say Redhat. Why?, hmm, I don't know. I really haven't used Redhat all that much,
but, you will probably, ultimately, be more greatful you started with Redhat.
good luck.
