I just installed Fedora core 2, and am having problem accessing my yahoo and gmail accounts. I am using Firefox 1.5. I am using College LAN to access the Internet. Surprisingly yahoo and gmail both work when accessed from Windows XP, I have asked the network administrator if he has blocked access , but this isn't so. I get the following message . "Server not found








Firefox can't find the server at login.yahoo.com.





* Check the address for typing errors

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
The same thing happens when I try to access gmail. Can anyone please help? many thanks in advance,

If WindowsXP can get to yahoo and gmail through the same connection, then it isnt the server. So you can scratch that.
