xmms skin dir


yes... I have no idea where it is and I just downloaded a skin for xmms. I searched for xmms and found it under bin, lib, and usr/share but yah. Where is the dir I am suppose to dump the skin in?

your skins directory is gonna be in your home dir. mine's at: ~/.xmms/Skins/

just put the skin you DLed into that directory and xmms should be able to find it.

if you put them in a home directory, then only that user will be able to use those skins. they'll be universally accessible if you put them in /usr/share/xmms/Skins

yeah, but that's not universal. doesn't work in slackware (which is my distro). what i had to do in order to solve that problem was have each user's ~/.xmms/Skins dir be a sym link to a universal dir somewhere else.
