xming on windows to access linux desktop remotely?

Hi all, I need some help!
I've been spending sometime trying to setup an xclient on windows to access my fedora server. I'm currently using xming but there's no way whatsoever for me to make gnome available remotely. The closest I got was to open a standard X session with no icons but just a terminal.
Is there any quick sanity check I can do before spending more time on this?
Gnome is working fine on the linux box itself, and I'm using xlunch on windows7 to try to open a remote gnome session.

Thanks :-)

I hope this is a good answer. I'd use mobaxterm and then see this page for xdmcp. http://library.gnome.org/admin/gdm/2.27/gdm.html

Also putty can be used I think.

Pretty sure vnc would be easy.

Presuming you're using xming to forward X11 over ssh. Trying to run an entire DE this way is probably not going to work out.

In addition to the suggestions above, also check out FreeNX / NX. I had a customer running the latter, and I found it to be very snappy.
