xmessage installation and howto

Hi ! LInux User
1) I have a console terminal for my NIS server(red hat 8). My nis clients are gui (Linux window mode). I have red hat 8 and debian 3 for clients.

At my clients has no problem when I type in "xmessage hello". The popup window working fine.

I need the "xmessage " to work from my NIS server. The following message appear when I type "xmessage hello" at my nis server
- bash : xmessage: command not found

Is there any package that I need to install on my server ?

2) I can create 3 buttons on the popup window.
first button - okey which will close the popup window
second button - click so that a message can send to me (system administrator)
third button - click so that I can view a file.

Question : How to do the second button ? I have no problem creating the first and third button.

3) login display message
Can I use xmessage to do a login display message ? Is there a better way to do login display message ?

Appreciate your advise.
