Question Ximian for Suse 7.3

Has anybody loaded this? I downloaded the latest Evolution, but the site os so slow I'd like to know if anyone has this running on Suse 7.3 and if it's worth the time to download.

Thanks

i don't see the point in ximian at all really... if you've got gnome already, you're not gaining much, and i've heard a fair few horror stories about it.

Yea I agree - Ximian is a piece alright... It doesn't even allow you to customize your install.. you just take what it gives you. If you insist on running Gnome, I'd personally download all the source and compile it myself from Gnome's site.

Or - you could just save yourself a lot of hassle and errors and goto http://www.windowmaker.org

So basically what I'm seeing here is that it's not worth the time to download the nine millon files that it takes to install Ximian? I'll go with that then. Thanks again!

I tried it and once the novelty of it wore off, less than 24 hours I might add, got rid of it. I like using Gnome and Blackbox personally. KDE just does not have that professional look to it, like XP.

Its extremely easy to uninstall a lot of gnome once its installed.

Im sure you just dont like gnome because you are a racist and gnome was founded by a mexican.
