Ximian desktop
I am thinking about swiching from Xfce which i feel comfortable with to Ximian Gnome Desktop. Any one using Ximian gnome? Any suggestions/comments if this is a good decision?
Thanks in advance!

Xfce is probably much faster than Ximian Gnome. Ximian seems to be more eye candy in Gnome than anything else. So if you like Gnome and aren't too concerned about it's speed and just want more eyecandy then Ximian would be fine.

I dont really like gnome, I used to like KDE but now i think Gnome is better over KDE although i cant really judge since i didnt try KDE 3 yet...
I'll stick with good old XFCE for now, it has all the things i need and it's much easier on system resources compared to KDE/Gnome....
I am still curious tho how many people actually use Gnome/KDE as their default wm. Both of them are really nice, but i think after some time they start being annoying with all of their "bells and whistles", well at least for me....
Any other oppinions?

Personally, I have a pretty high powered system, so I dont really save much time going between eye candy desktops and low resource desktops.
I run KDE most of the time, and every once in a while use Gnome. I find KDE to be nicer looking than Gnome, although not quite as fast.
I would use blackbox more often though if I could fing a KDE/Gnome like theme. I dont like the really small toolbar.

It's easy enough to change them so why not have several. then you can decide what you want.
