xgl, native, when?

So, when does everyone thing that xgl will become a native part of distros? meaning, when will i be able to get fedora, or ubuntu and it will just include xgl right after the typical install. i am aware that xgl can be put on most distros and also that a distro called korora did this, but since i am a newb, i want to know when it will be included and not require me to manually install it on a bigger distro such as fc or ubuntu. would suse most likely get xgl first, and keep it from others? i think novell owns it??

ps. dare i ask if anyone would port it to windows?

I don't know about xgl, but aiglx is already available as a standard module in Xorg 7.1. So any distro with 7.1 has aiglx.

I don't really know what the difference between the two are, but I know you can run Compiz on top of aiglx...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aiglx

aiglx "allows Compiz and other compositing window managers to be built on top of a traditional server with a small GLX extension rather than requiring a full Xgl server"
