I am looking for some information on user's experience with XFS versus EXT3. I have googled this question and looked through prior threads, but the information was inconclusive to me. Here's the situation, I record video with MythTV and the typical size is between 4.2 GB and 7.5 GB for each file. The system is a little old, but still pretty powerful.
System Spec's:
Quote:
MotherBoard: Abit Kt7 Raid
CPU: AMD Athlon T-Bird 1200 MHz
RAM: SD-PC-133 512MB
Video Card: nVidia Riva TNT2 32MB
Sound: Sound Blaster Live!
TV Capture Card: Hauppauge PVR-150
Distro: KnoppMyth 0.19, FluxBox
Kernel: 2.6.15-chw-2

Basically I want to know if anyone thinks that for typical files that will be somewhere between 4 GB and 8 GB, do you think that EXT3 or XFS will provide the system with better performance? I have been using it for a few days now with no problems, but I have been wondering if XFS would just be handle better by the system.
